Virtual School Pakistan (VSP) – Fostering the Love of learning
I embarked on a journey to revolutionize the education system with a vision to offer holistic education, integrated with our cultural and religious values, to every child in Pakistan at an affordable rate. It takes a village to raise a child, and our mission has been to cultivate that village – teachers and caregivers – based on a foundation of trust, respect and cooperation. Our focus for the last 25 years has been to uplift the schooling system in Pakistan by developing value based curriculum, training/supporting teachers, mentoring schools and counseling students and parents.
Having been associated with the education sector for over 3 decades I have witnessed a progressive disconnect between parents and their children. Today, more and more children are forced into the schooling system at a very young and tender age when their social, emotional and physical needs can only be optimally met by their close family, preferably parents. Allah SWT has entrusted parents with a tremendous responsibility that can either help society progress or become the cause for its decline. The prevalent schooling system has parents competing in a never-ending rat race, pitting child against parent, parent against teacher and teacher against the system. This shift in attitudes and behaviors has led to a grave disconnect from the real objectives of a holistic education and has also resulted in weakened social bonds across economic strata and also within the family systems.
Current research indicates that Children need to spend more time playing and connecting with family in their formative years, rather than spending so much time on structured learning. Our Early developmental program focuses on nurturing this parent-child bond through hands on interactive activities. Through the VSP guided-homeschooling program your child can avoid all the unnecessary stresses that going to school can cause. School going toddlers are frequently deprived of sleep and proper nutrition, experience separation anxiety, learn to associate fear and anxiety with learning and testing and may even experience unkind and biased behavior from peers and teachers.
I have witnessed most of these limiting factors of the schooling system first hand, and these are difficult to overcome no matter how hard we try. My 30 years of experience has taught me that most young children do better emotionally, psychologically and physically when they feel secure and unconditionally loved. In their formative years, the ideal place for a child to develop, mentally, physically, emotionally and cognitively is within the safety and comfort of their homes. This realization gave birth to this new venture, Virtual School Pakistan – VSP, a guided Homeschooling system for Muslim parents.

Ms. Safoora Naeem is a renowned and seasoned educationist with over 30 years of experience. Pursuant to her academic qualification of MSc, M.Phil in Physical Chemistry, she proceeded to USA and enrolled in a professional degree in Teacher training. After returning to Pakistan, she began her journey to revolutionize education in Pakistan.
Given her vision and experience, she was given the assignment to uplift Usman Public School in 1993. Her 25 year association and endless devotion to Usman Public School, as Director, led to it becoming a recognizable and well-known brand name that it is today.
To further the cause beyond Usman Public School, ERI was founded in 1995, along with a team of likeminded education enthusiasts. The founding members had a common goal; to make meaningful and quality education accessible to the common man in Pakistan, integrated with religious and cultural values that were missing from the western education model that was being imposed on the masses through private schools. As the Executive Director of ERI, Ms. Naeem has spearheaded multiple projects under the banner of ERI together with the selfless support and dedication of the other founding members and team leaders.
Currently Mrs. Safoora Naeem oversees the following 3 core solutions that ERI offers:

Hafsa later resigned from her full time job and chose to take on the challenging role of a full time – home school - mother to her two children, at a time when homeschooling was unheard of in Pakistan. As part of the home school learning experience, she launched a successful business, Busy Li’l Hands, with her two daughters in 2015, which she operates from home. Busy Li’l Hands stemmed from her firm belief that parents and children need to connect through play in order to foster a healthy learning mindset early on. Her passion to empower children and parents has led her to join Virtual School Pakistan’s team, offering her versatile experience to help further the mission.
